Alister Allan is Scotland’s most successful Commonwealth Games competitor with a career spanning 26 years. Between 1974 and 1994 he won three gold, three silver and four bronze medals. Allan has competed in five Olympic Games, and finished in the top 10 each time. He was a bronze medal winner at the 1984 Olympic Games in the small bore rifle event and won a silver medal in the same event in 1988. He was made an MBE in 1989.
